Continental 315

Continental 315

The transmitter used in the 60s and 70s was a Continental 315-B 5000 watt model. The station operated 5000 Watts daytime and 1000 Watts nighttime. A flick of a switch made the changeover and was easily heard when listening at dusk and dawn. The picture above is a photograph from the Manual of the Continental 315,
5 kW. Transmitter and should be similar to WQAM’s. Courtesy of www.oldradio.com
